FMG Celebrates Success On Singing News Chart

Nashville, TN (August 22, 2018) With the release of the Singing News October chart, Family Music Group (FMG) is celebrating a fall harvest of hits a little early.

FMG works with many of Southern Gospel’s top artists and this month they had 21 songs appear on the chart. “As we looked over the chart we were overwhelmed by the number of our artists who appeared. We know that we work with the very best and this Singing News chart proves it,” stated Les Butler.

The Family Music Group record label had seven songs on the charts from the Williamsons, Old Time Preachers Quartet, Dunaways, Jason Davidson, and Heaven’s Mountain Band. The Old Time Preachers Quartet’s, “When I Wake Up To Sleep No More” is quickly climbing the chart, coming in this month at #17 making this their second Top 20 in a row. “This song was #1 forty-four years ago and we are excited to introduce it to another generation with the same iconic voice of Mike Holcomb, added Les Butler. The Williamsons were #4 last month with “Jesus What A Wonderful Name.” The song was so popular that it remained in the top 20 again this month. Their new single, “Every Moment, Every Mountain, Every Mile” is the #6 Top New Release and the #3 Pick Hit for October.

Butler Music Group is the management and consultation division of BMG and this month they had nine songs on the chart from artists Cheri Taylor, Barbers, Arenos, Ferguson Family, Goulds, Sacred Harmony, Matt Felts, Storm Bracther, and Master’s Promise.

Over on the Singing News Bluegrass Gospel chart, FMG received even more blessings as Heaven’s Mountain Band claimed their 7th consecutive #1. “I can’t remember when a group has had the success that Heaven’s Mountain Band has had on radio. Roger and the group are the real deal. They sing for the right reason and God is blessing them because of it,” stated Matt Felts. Stevens Family Tradition and Walking By Faith landed in the Top 10, Tim Davis appeared in the Top 20 and Williamson Branch, Burchfield Family and Faithful Crossings all appeared in the Top 40.
