Pensacola, FL (Sept. 16, 2019) — With the departure of tenor vocalist Steven Adair, Randy Shelnut and The Dixie Echoes are auditioning new singers as they continue a full touring schedule. To meet the demand, Dixie Echoes alum George Shelton returns to fill in with the quartet through the National Quartet Convention and into the fall.

Shelton, who now sings with his family, The Sheltons, toured with the quartet from 2012 to 2015. His classic tenor voice and exuberant personality made him a fan favorite with The Dixie Echoes. His rendition of “Walk With Me” quickly became one of his most-requested Dixie Echo songs in churches and concert stages across America.

George says, “It is fun to travel with the Dixie Echoes. They like to sing quartet music and do it the right way. I am always glad to fill in. Randy and Scoot are good friends with me and my wife Gail. Gonna be a great time, for sure!”

He will also continue to tour with The Sheltons, who are placing the final touches on their new CD with Classic Artists Records.

The Dixie Echoes are accepting tenor applications and vocal demos. Send information to Randy Shelnut, Dixie Echoes, 481 Rhonda Street, Pensacola, FL, 32534, or email [email protected].
