Matt Linton Sings on Main Stage at Gatlinburg Gathering

Gatlinburg, TN (August 21, 2018) – Chapel Valley recording artist Matt Linton took the stage alongside Jason Crabb, The Isaacs, and Karen Peck and New River at Gatlinburg Gathering after being invited to sing on the main stage as a soloist on Friday night. Born and raised in Canada, Matt and his wife and children have dedicated their lives to full-time ministry through singing and preaching the gospel. They have three beautiful children who travel full-time with them.

Gatlinburg Gathering is an annual concert weekend hosted by Abraham Productions at the Gatlinburg Convention Center. This year’s event took place Thursday, August 15 through Saturday, August 18. Audiences enjoyed incredible Gospel music from artists such as The Isaacs, Karen Peck and New River, Triumphant Quartet, Gold City, Greater Vision, The Perrys, Tribute Quartet, and more. Guest speakers were Dr. Herb Reavis, Dr. John Bowman, and Dr. Jeff Laborg.

Concerts are held throughout the afternoon on a smaller stage inside the exhibition area, where visitors and fans can peruse the booths of the artists and vendors. The evening concerts on the main stage feature some of the best-known artists and preachers in the industry. One artist from the exhibition area stage is invited to sing on the main stage each evening. Travis Roark from Chapel Valley said, “Matt joined the Chapel Valley family in 2014 and just released his third album with us. We always enjoy having Matt in the studio. His natural talent and strong desire to see God glorified through is ministry are a winning combination in our book.”

Matt shared, “This was so surreal for me. I literally grew up listening to Jason Crabb, Karen Peck and New River, and The Isaacs. To be invited to sing on the main stage at Gatlinburg Gathering as a soloist and then get to sing with these people was just cool. I’m so blessed and thankful to get to do this!”
