Circleville, OH (Dec. 21, 2017) — Singing News has learned that Southern Gospel promoter Gil Conley passed away yesterday, Dec. 20, 2017 at approximately 5 p.m. Conley had experienced health issues for the past several years and for the last three months resided in a nursing facility in Circleville.

Gil promoted Southern Gospel concerts in the central Ohio area for many decades. In addition to the many concerts at churches and fairs, he was a driving force for many years behind the annual Westfall Gospel Sing (Mt. Sterling, OH) that brought thousands to a multi-night event where for years the groups performed on two different stages during the night. It was a sight to behold.

Graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017 at the Muhlenburg-Darbyville Cemetery, 16905 London Rd, Orient, Ohio.

Arrangements were completed by the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville, Ohio.

Please remember the Conley family in your thoughts and prayers during their time of loss.
