Greenville, NC (March 26, 2018) – Evangelist Jack Lassiter, 62, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2018.

During his ministry he served as pastor of several Free Will Baptist Churches, Director of Public Relations and Fund Raising at Southeastern FWB College at Wendell, North Carolina. Throughout his ministry as a traveling evangelist he preached in many events in numerous states across the country. Jack was a speaker on many occasions at Abraham Productions events such as “Singing In The Sun” and “Gatlinburg Gathering,” and could often be found in revival services with The Greenes. While in evangelism, Reverend Lassiter recorded five projects of gospel songs and hymns as well as numerous sermon projects. Many of his projects were recorded with Tim Greene at The Loft Studio in Boone, North Carolina. Jack was a great encourager and friend to a great many in m Southern Gospel music.

Evangelist Lassiter became disabled and had been homebound since 2012.

The visitation and home-going service will be held, Wednesday at Wilson Memorial Service, 2811 Fieldstream Drive N., Wilson, North Carolina. The visitation will commence at 12:30 p.m., with the service following at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.
