Nashville, TN —[Sept. 26, 2017] Today we lost a team-member. Our industry lost a ground-breaker, an innovator, an idea-generator. His church lost a media guy, a servant, and a constant source of encouragement. Most of us lost a friend and a brother, and if you are like me, you have no idea how to fill the holes that the loss of someone like Dave Wilcox leaves behind. He was just very special. He simply meant too much to us, his impact on all of us too great.

He is now and forevermore healed, and is probably, as Danny Jones said so well, “rearranging things in Heaven” just so the rest of us can enjoy it more.

My heart hurts. My mind reels, but Jesus said:

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

In Thessalonians it says:

But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

I am holding fast to this tonight, but I miss my friend.

Sincerely,

Kevin Anderson
