Madisonville, TN (Feb. 1, 2019) — LakeSide is celebrating a new lineup that includes Lucas Blankenship (son of group owner, Greg Blankenship) and John Robert Freels joining the group. Along with Greg Blankenship, Jackie Cummings and Walt Williamson welcome this energetic, young talent wholeheartedly.

This acoustic Bluegrass group began playing in churches throughout East Tennessee in 1995 under the name “Gospel Bluegrass Boys.” In 2007, the name “LakeSide” was adopted as their ministry grew. Lucas Blankenship is featured in the first song on their brand-new promo video at www.lakesidegospel.com. His vocal talent is proof of the generational giftings God has blessed him with. John Robert Freels plays banjo and guitar and can sing both lead and harmony parts.

Shane Roark shared, “LakeSide is a phenomenal Bluegrass group. We are so excited to see what the future holds for this group. Their instrumental and vocal talent combined can take them places where groups that just use tracks cannot always go. They carry the gospel message with them and their versatile style really allows them to play to audiences that like a wide variety of music. They can go from playing to a Bluegrass audience to a Southern Gospel audience and they do it all very well.”
