Reidsville, NC — The Down East Boys have announced the addition of Doug Pittman as tenor vocalist. Doug is 30 years old and originally from the small town of Eastman, Georgia. Doug has performed both nationally and internationally, including a United Kingdom tour in 2007 and his Carnegie Hall debut in 2010. Doug studied both Voice and Piano at Brewton-Parker College in Mount Vernon, Georgia. Doug began his professional Southern Gospel career in 2014 when he joined Ed O’Neal and the legendary Dixie Melody Boys.

Group owner/manager Ricky Carden states, “Doug’s powerhouse tenor voice and humble spirit are a welcome addition to the Down East Boys. The class and feeling that Doug puts into each performance has the group eagerly anticipating his arrival. Carden continues, “We are excited to have the talent of Doug’s caliber join our ministry and look forward to the musical possibilities his wide array of talents bring.”

Doug’s first concert with the Down East Boys will be April 21, 2017.
