From 1960 to the early 1980s, The Gospel Singing Jubilee was the most popular Christian music television show seen across America. Fondly remembered by thousands of Gospel music fans, the program featured a cast of amazing artists every Sunday morning, such as The Blackwood Brothers, The Happy Goodman Family, The Chuck Wagon Gang, The Speer Family, The Dixie Echoes, Hovie Lister & The Statesmen, The Hinsons, The Rambos, and many others. The late Les Beasley, who hosted the famous show through its entire duration, also performed with his own legendary group, The Florida Boys, and became one of the most influential leaders of Gospel music.

Thirty-plus years later, some of those artists who appeared on The Gospel Singing Jubilee are still singing and touring. Those legends and Hall of Famers are joined today by second and third generations, who have taken up the mantle to continue the music and ministry of their legendary families.

Though the original Gospel Singing Jubilee will never be replaced, the opportunity is now readily primed for Great American Jubilee, a new show that will soon be distributed to more than 500 networks each week. It will feature many legendary names from “Jubilee” past, as well as new and popular artists of today. Projected to debut by early 2020, Great American Jubilee will reach into potentially millions of homes across all of America and several foreign counties.

The show will be hosted by Mike LeFevre (LeFevre Quartet), Karen Peck Gooch (Karen Peck & New River), and Danny Jones (Singing News). The trio will also continue to host their current popular TV program, Gospel Music USA.

Great American Jubilee will be produced by Danny and Dee Kramer, creators of Great American Gospel, Great American Bluegrass, and American Gospel OnStage. Production has started on the show’s initial’s programs and will include a well-balanced lineup of familiar Gospel Singing Jubilee performers along with today’s leading artists.
