Chesnee, SC — Frank E. Moffitt, 72, of Chesnee, South Carolina, went home to be with his Lord Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, surrounded by his family.

Frank developed a love for Southern Gospel music many years ago. In 1972 he organized The Master’s Singers and began traveling the east coast spreading the gospel in song. The group’s most recent lineup consisted of Frank, his wife, Jan, and their daughter, Kayren Swofford. He continued promoting the music he loved and the God he so faithfully served throughout his life.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jan Moffitt; one daughter, Kayren (Matthew) Swofford of Chesnee; four grandchildren, Ashley (Travis) Searcy of Lyman, Presley (Christopher) Jones of Gaffney, Tristin (Grace) Swofford of Chesnee and Landon Swofford of Chesnee; one great-grandson, Jackson Searcy of Lyman; and two sisters, Gail Moffitt and Linda Moffitt, both of Boiling Springs. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Matthew Todd Swofford Jr.

A celebration of Frank’s life was held on Friday, December 14, 2018, at Green Point Baptist Church, where he served as Minister of Music. Interment followed in Springhill Memorial Gardens in Chesnee.
