Three Weeks In A Row! (most definitely a new world record)

We have had the warmest winter with the least snow and ice, and earliest spring I have seen in the time I have lived here, which is going on twenty years. The flowers and leaves were sprouting everywhere, then Jim Cumbee comes to town and as usual, the weather got ugly. Last year every time Jim came to Boone it snowed. He has not been in Boone this year and the weather has been beautiful. Jim shows up last Tuesday and it begins to snow on Wednesday, and stays in the 20's for several days.

If anyone out there needs, snow or ice, let me know and I will gladly send Jim to see you, for a small fee of course.

Winston Churchill was speaking to the House of Commons one day when he gave this advice: "We must always be ready to meet at our average moment, the thing that any possible enemy could hurl against us at his selected moment." Satan could hurl a deadly temptation at you at any given moment. The phone could ring with terrible news about a friend. A police officer could knock on your door to inform you of a tragedy in your family. Trials can come with such a force that they blow you off course. Temptation can strike at your backside and almost give you whiplash! It is not God's will that you have a vacancy of temptation or trials but that you have victory in temptation and trials.


ACTION POINT:
Are you ready at this moment to meet what the devil may throw at you or what God may allow to come your way? Get ready by spending time in His precious word today.

IT'S NOT IN THE BIBLE:

("Cleanliness Is Next To Godliness")

However, the book of Leviticus frequently deals with the issue of cleanliness and impurity so that the Children of Israel would be clean as a sign of separation from the surrounding nations. Yet in the New Testament, cleanliness finds mention in relation to the cleansing of the believer's life.

(1 John 1:9)
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

(John 15:3)
You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.

FUNNY BONE:

This morning on the Interstate,

I looked over to my left and there was a woman in a brand new Cadillac doing 65 mph with her face up next to her rear view mirror putting on her eyeliner. I looked away for a couple seconds and when I looked back she was halfway over in my lane, still working on that makeup.

As a man, I don't scare easily.

But she scared me so much; I dropped my electric shaver, which knocked the donut out of my other hand. In all the confusion of trying to straighten out the car using my knees against the steering wheel, it knocked my cell phone away from my ear which fell into the coffee between my knees, splashed, and burned me, ruined the phone, soaked my trousers, and disconnected an important call.

Stupid women drivers!!
