From The Dirt Dobbers Nest

I took a few photos while at the Lester's Fall Festival at Meramec Caverns in Stanton MO which I call the "Dirt Dobbers Nest." If you take a look at the caverns from the inside you'll call it a dirt dobbers nest too.

An inside view of the caves. It's a beautiful venue and the sound is unbelievable . The ballroom where the concerts are held is huge and it will seat over a thousand singing fans. Don's worry the ceiling is at least two stories high.

From the parking lot the view of the fall foliage was beautiful.



The drive from I-44 to the caverns is about 3 miles and breathtaking. The Lester's Fall Festival is held in mid October each year. Starting making your plans now to attend the 2007 Festival and you can enjoy the beautiful foliage as well as the singing.

The brand new "Lester Family" made it's debut at this event. Ole Brian is a happy camper. He has Ginger back on stage with him, as well as Jenny, (Ginger's daughter) and Jonathan, Ole Brian's son. It's Lester PACKED again. And that is just what all Lester fans and friends want. By the way they have an awesome sound, some of the best harmony I have heard in a while.

Jerry and Little Jan and Woody Beatty make up the new trio. I don't think the trio has a name yet. Sooooo...I think we ought to give them a name, don't you? How about "Little Jan and the Moonlighters" To be honest the new Moonlighters sound great. Good singing, comedy, trumphet playing, and Woody doing his thing on the piano and singing the third part. I really enjoyed it.



The group that stole the program was nineteen year old Stephanie Brown and her family the Jody Brown Indian Family. Stephanie and her brother Jeremy are two talented people. When they are in your area, go see them, make it a must do thing.

Old Red Socks "Derrell Stewart" and the Recipe Queen "Carolyn Kirksey" catch up on the news and most likely spice it up a little.
