Perspective by Jerry Kirksey
God and Country CAN NOT be separated and was not separated by the authors of the Constitution of the United States of America. Every section of our constitution whether specifically stated or not, presupposed God's domain.
A Godless country is an lawless immoral void.
God and law/justice can not be separated.
What God calls sin, man calls crime, however mankind does not consider all sin crime.
If or when America is no longer "One Nation Under God;" America will follow the well trodden path of destruction of all the great empires of history.
The very existence of our great nation, is now in the hands of those of us who except all of the above as truth. We as a people can not save America, but we as a Christian Nation of people can save a nation and conquer a world.
Jesus Christ is Lord and king of the world. This world and the new one to come.
Below are some thoughts of others along these lines. American Immigration
In the first place we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the man's becoming in very fact an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag, and this excludes the red flag, which symbolizes all wars against liberty and civilization, just as much as it excludes any foreign flag of a nation to which we are hostile...We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language...and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."
Theodore Roosevelt 1907
BIBLE MEDITATION: "Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD." Psalm 31:24
DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT: The world wants to know what we should do about the problems of the world. What about the overcrowded prisons? Poverty? Rape? Murder? Do you know why we never solve the problems? Because we don't see the problem. The sociologist says it is just a cultural lag. The psychologist calls it an emotional disturbance. The philosopher calls it irrational behavior. The communist calls it the human class struggle. The humanist calls it human weakness. The criminologist calls it anti-human conduct. The Bible calls it sin. And the only answer for sin is Jesus, Who executes the will of God, expresses the love of God, and expounds the mind of God.
ACTION POINT: What do you think it means that Jesus is the executor of God's will? How does He express the love of God? Can you give examples from His Word where Jesus has expounded upon the mind of God? Dr. Adrian Rogers
May God bless us and keep us.
