Faces..........

Derrell Stewart and I have been like brothers for more years than either of us wants to count.

The other day I was going through some of our photo files and kept running across photos of Derrell; so I decided to make a folder of just Derrell photos. As most of you know my mind works strangely sometimes....OK most of the time. Anyway for some reason I thought of the Greater Vision song "Faces," as I looked at the many faces of Derrell. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.

I'm still asleep, but Derrell wandered into an icecream shop. You know how old people are.

In this photo I caught Derrell cheating, he had the answers written in his hand. The question was..What is your name?

No I can't play it, but I can fake it....


This is as normal as Derrell gets.... even on one of his better day.

Suwanne River Jubilee II

This report will wrap up our coverage of the Suwannee River Jubilee concerts. Friday night the Kingsmen joined the Florida Boys and the Dixie Echoes. On Saturday night an unusual version of the Inspirations joined in the singing.

Florida Boys lead singer Josh Garner arrived at the Suwannee with his new wife Alison. Josh and Alison had been married for a whole two days. We will have more photos and info in the Singing News.

This is the unusual version of the Inspirations I mentioned. L/R "Little" Archie, Melton, Gene McDonald, Matt, and Martin. Now the story goes this way. "Big" Archie was home sick, he's having tooth surgary. Myron stayed home because he and his wife are expecting their first born any day, and Mike went to meet his wife Bo at their daughters, because she was in the hospital to give birth to her frist child.... Granddaddy Mike!! As of this morning (Monday June 20th - 6:00am) no babies have been born yet.


This is little Archie. He looks like Big Archie and sounds like Big Archie. Who is he? Well, I am working on that. Martin just called him little Archie.


The Ole Gospel Man J. G. Whitfield and the Workmen Quartet was also on hand. Whit will celeabrate his 90th birthday September 8, 2005. He still travels most weekends and still sings a veracious bass note.
