Singing At Sea
I guess some of you thought I had drowned. Not such luck! I have lot of catching up to do, and I am going to start with the Singing At Sea. As Maurice always says, it was the 'best ever.' The weather was perfect from the time we arrived in Jacksonville to board the 'Celebration' until our return to Jacksonville from the Bahamas. The Atlantic was smooth and so was the boat ride. The temperature in the Bahamas was in the mid 80's with beautiful clear, blue skies each day.
Carolyn had some very special friends aboard for this cruise. After Carolyn graduated from high school in Graceville, Florida , she moved to Tallahassee and went to work at Florida State University. She rented a room from Rev. Wiley T. Davis and his wife Geneva. Rev and Mrs Davis had two daughters Barbara and Shirley. Over the years Barbara, Shirley and Carolyn became very close friends and have remained so. Barbara, Shirley, and Aunt Dot were aboard for this cruise. Aunt Dot is the sister of Rev. Davis. Rev. and Mrs. Davis are both deceased.
This was the first time in many years the three of them have been together, and they had a ball. Of course Carolyn's long time shopping partner Reve Stewart, Derrell's wife, was also on board . They shopped the high seas and all the ports where they could find a shop.
Shirley has a son Brad who lives in Nassau. Brad and his wife Darlene met us at the port and took us on a beautiful tour of Nassau.
It's photo time, hope you enjoy them.

All of the Inspirations were on board. Matt Dobber, Kriski, and Melton Smith visit on the pool deck
Fans depart the "Celebration" for their tour of Nassau
L-R: Carolyn, Derrell, Reve, and Aunt Dot enjoying lunch at Port Lucaya near Freeport. Note Derrell's mouth that is called a HOT "American Fry" mouth
L-R: Squire, Mike, and Greg man their product table on the cruise
L-R: Ora Blanche Cook and Carolyn visit in the product room, which is usually the ships Casino.
L-R: Scott Flower and Jeff Templeton talking serious business, I guess?
L-R: Geraldine and Marsha Templeton (Maurice's wife). They are too happy, they must be hiding something
Grandma Barbara enjoyed baby-sitting "Griffin" son of Doug and Amy Jo Riley
Some folks have asked why Tim wants to stay home more. Here is one GOOD reason "Griffin"
Now folks this is a fact with my hand up. A few minutes after this photo was taken, Geraldine put Ricky in his box and sat Jerry Goff on her lap and Jerry became the dummy. A part Jerry played flawlessly.
The "Shoppers" Reve' Stewart and Carolyn Kirksey shopped the high seas and all ports on shore.
I'll buy one if you'll buy one. I tell Derrell you gave me this one and you tell Jerry I gave you that one.
Back home again in Boone
