Southern Gospel Nights at Silver Dollar City for 2004 was a full blown success. Echo Hollar was filled to over flowing each night. Thousands of Southern Gospel singing fans came to Branson MO to enjoy their favorite music. Singing News is proud to sponsor this event each year. Our thanks go out to Silver Dollar City officials D.A. Calloway and Brad Thomas who work with us on this event each year. We also want to say thanks to the Herschend Entertainment Corp. owners Jack and Pete Herschend for their support. Herschend Entertainment owns and operates Silver Dollar City and Dollywood. Both theme parks feature Southern Gospel Music year round.
I have not reported on Friday's and Saturday's concerts yet, and some of you have reminded me of that fact. I do have some photos for you. The Issacs and Booth Bros. were our groups for Friday and the Kingsmen were with us on Saturday. In most cases I try to pick the best photos to post, but I did not do that with the Kingsmen cause I liked the bad ones better.
L/R Lily Issac, Bob Brumley, and Mr. Southern Gospel Music himself Michael Booth?
The Issac was a favorite with the Silver Dollar City crowd. This is one talented family
Mr. Southern Gospel Music.......Slowly and I hope/PRAY surely he'll make it.
I am not sure if Tim Surrett is singing in the mike or is aiming a gun, whichever, boy is he serious
I think Ray Dean Reese looks younger from the back of his head. Is that a Rug, or just a bad haircut?
Whoa.... Maybe I should have shot Phillip Hughes from behind also.
Jeremy Peace is one of those disgusting people who always take a good photo, maybe he doesn't belong in this Quartet
The Kingsmen Band, tall slender Jason Selph, well groomed and dressed, then there's short bushy headed Nick" The Killer" Succi, that boy needs to change his name.
.
The last Kingsmen is a real Cool Cat. Her name is Nala Kirksey. She's not really a Kingsmen, she's the Kirksey family's only pet. She rules the house and all that is therein. Say goodbye Nala....... Goodbye Nala.
