Fire At Southern Gospel Concert- Some Injuries

 

The Nelons have been cleared by the doctors and released from the hospital. The Nelons are working for the same promoter tomorrow night and will be traveling to Dayton OH for tomorrow nights concert. One member of Beyond the Ashes may be kept overnight for observation.

Jason said, "The fans were fantastic. Many were coming back into the building in an effort to help us get our equipment out of the building. We didn't want them to do it, but many insisted."

The Nelons and Beyond the Ashes were singing at the Majestic Theatre in Chillicothe, OH Thursday night, November 4th.  Beyond the Ashes had just finished singing and were coming off stage when they noticed the stage curtains ablaze.  The building quickly filled with smoke.  All 300 plus in attendance were evacuated safely.  

One of the members of Beyond the Ashes was taken to the hospital with smoke inhalation.  Kelly Nelon Clark was sick to her stomach and was being taken to the hospital by ambulance.  Amber was caughing and was also taken to the hospital by ambulance. 

The theater, located at 45 E. 2nd St., caught fire shortly after 8:30 p.m., 10TV News reported.
