Gadsden, AL — Perkins Revival is excited to announce that as of October 16 David Riley will be joining the group, filling the baritone position formerly held by Trey Marr.
Trey, son of Perkins Revival lead Donnie Marr, is leaving to attend college at the University of Alabama. Donnie states that it has been a great blessing to share the stage with his son. “Trey could step in and handle any part he was given and handled it with ease,” says Donnie. “I will definitely miss him, both on stage and traveling on the bus together, but I am very proud of his decision to go back to school.”
David, who reside in Altoona, Alabama, is no stranger to gospel music. Having been a part of local groups for many years, as well as being the nephew of Tim Riley of Gold City, David has also served as Minister of Music at First Baptist Church of Altoona for the past 10 years. “David was actually a member of the Perkins Family in 1996,” states Ricky Perkins. “I am very excited to have him as a part of this ministry again and we are looking forward to having everyone meet David and his wife Sharon and two children.”
