NQC Coverage Guide

The 2014 National Quartet Convention is HERE, and this year is set to be a historic year for the event. This marks the first year for the National Quartet Convention in Pigeon Forge, TN, and it also marks the return of the Southern Gospel industry’s PREMIERE fan-voted awards show, the Singing News Fan Awards.

Below is a full breakdown of all exclusive coverage from Singing News and Solid Gospel for this year’s event.

Daily Video Coverage From Singing News

Every day, Singing News will be walking the halls of NQC with video cameras in hand, ready to capture all your favorite Southern Gospel artists for exclusive interviews, stories, candid moments and unexpected fun.

Singing News NQC Updates On Solid Gospel

Four times a day, you can listen in to Solid Gospel for updates from the show floor. These updates will provide information on showcases and other happenings from around the convention, in addition to artist interviews and more.

The times for these updates are 6am, 8am, 10am and Noon Central time every day of the convention.

Singing News Fan Awards Coverage

The Singing News Fan Awards will be taking place on Thursday, September 25th from the Main Stage, starting at 1:15pm Eastern. During the show, Singing News will be posting the winners for all categories as they are announced. You can find these announcements at, as well as our Facebook page at

In addition, if you would like to watch the 2014 Singing News Fan Awards in its entirety, we will be posting full video of the show within 24 hours after the awards are finished. Stay tuned to and for all the information on this.

Daily Radio Coverage From Solid Gospel

Solid Gospel Radio will be offering 5 full hours of radio coverage from NQC this year, which is more than we’ve ever done before. The daily coverage will start Monday, September 22nd. Here is what to expect every day:

2pm – 3pm Central- NQC Classics Hour-  A full hour of great NQC memories and performances from past years.
3pm -4pm Central- NQC “Takeover” Hour- This hour will feature a different group every day as they “take over” our airwaves.
4pm – 5pm Central- Roundtable Broadcast- Dozens of artists will gather around our table throughout the week as they share their stories, talk about life on the road and much more.
5pm – 7pm Central- Two full hours of LIVE coverage direct from the NQC Main Stage. Hear all your favorite artists singing the songs you love LIVE as it happens!

SPECIAL NOTE: The Thursday night broadcast, from 5pm – 7pm Central, will be an exclusive radio rebroadcast of the Singing News Fan Awards which takes place earlier that day. So be sure to tune in to hear every award and performance from the Southern Gospel Industry’s PREMIERE fan-voted awards show!
