April 16, 2019 — Singing News Publisher Danny Jones announces the launch of a new weekly podcast in May. It’s called “Danny’s Diary,” and he’ll chat with Gospel artists, songwriters, music industry professionals, and others about the latest Southern Gospel news, upcoming albums, and many other topics.

“Singing News reaches a milestone this year,” says Danny. “The year 2019 represents the magazine’s 50th anniversary, and we thought that it would be appropriate to add yet another way of promoting what we feel is the greatest music in the world. Podcasts enable the listener to feel the ‘life’ of what is being said by both the interviewee and the interviewer. Danny’s Diary is just one way we’re planning to carry on the publication J.G. Whitfield began for another 50 years.”

Danny’s Diary will debut Monday, May 6, and Troy Peach of The Perrys will be Danny’s first guest. Other upcoming guests will include Josh Singletary (Tribute Quartet), Kenna Turner West (songwriter), Scotty Inman (Triumphant Quartet), Rick Francis (Associate Publisher of Singing News), Susan Whisnant (Whisnants), Greg Goodman (Program Director of Singing News Radio Network), and more.

A new episode will be available each Monday at SingingNews.com, or listeners can subscribe to receive the podcast on Apple or Android devices, as well as email, RSS, or Google Podcasts.
