What are you thankful for?
Your family and friends? Your job? Your pets? Your bank account?
There's an old country saying that goes, "No matter how bad you think you got it, there's always someone worse off than you."
While that is not the world's greatest grammar, there is still some truth in that thought. Somewhere, someone would like to have a "thankful for" list as long as your's.
My point is, however, we all have something to be thankful for. Despite the bills that are laying on the kitchen counter waiting to be paid, there's food in the pantry. Despite the windy cold night, there's a warm house in which you live. Instead of hitchhiking to Grandmother's house this weekend, there's a vehicle that will get you from Point A to Point B.
So this weekend, when everything gets quiet between the family get-togethers, the football games, the snow shoveling and so forth, take a second and run down your list.
It might take longer than you think.
