Taking Notes (#410)
Wednesday, August 06, 2008
If you're a regular reader of Singing News, you probably noticed that in our August issue (TaRanda Greene is on the cover), we debuted a new feature, "Family Album." Just as the title implies, this is a look at the family photo album of an artist (it was Karen Peck Gooch in the August issue, and I would tell you who the September "Family Album" subject is, but his brother Ronnie wants to keep it a secret).
The early response has been very favorable and naturally, we'll be monitoring the comments over the next several months. This is just a part in our plan to give our readers more of what they want. Readers asked for more "family stuff" and photos; thus "Family Album."
In this short and sweet edition of Danny's Diary, I'm conducting a very informal survey of the diary's readers to learn what they'd like to see more - or less - of in future editions of Singing News. Information is a precious commodity and often, there's no better source of information than the consumer. In this case, that's the subscribers (and other readers) of Singing News.
Here's what I need you to do: During the next week, jot down a few thoughts about what you'd like to see in YOUR Singing News. If you really like something, let me know. If there's something you don't like, let me know that, too. Also, just for informational purposes, indicate if you are subscriber to the magazine or if you're only a visitor to the Web site. We'll be giving each of your comments a "good look over" - and who knows, you just may have the grandest idea of all! And, by the way, there is no limit to the number of suggestions you can submit.
I'll be looking forward to your responses. The more the merrier!
