Mark Twain uttered those words many years ago and they've become the perfect way to address rumors that float around from time to time. In today's short Danny's Diary entry, I'm going to address one rumor that's floating around...
No, I'm not leaving - or have left - Singing News. Over the past few days, my cell phone has been in constant use as many people have called wanting to know about my immediate future. Well, I'm sitting in the same ol' chair I've sat in for over 12 years.
As I explained to the callers, the rumor has probably gotten life from the classified ad that appears in the November issue of Singing News (page 120). As Singing News has expanded (and plans for further expansion are on the drawing board), it's become necessary to add people to our staff in the advertising and editorial departments. In the editorial department, we're looking for a good managing editor to assist Jerry Kirksey and me as the company continues to grow.
