One Or Two? Maybe Three?

First, a word of thanks to all of you who commented on Monday's blog about Glen Allred. It's very apparent Glen has made a positive impression on many Southern Gospel Music fans. Many of you reflected about his personal kindness toward you and EVERY one was generous in praise about his singing talents.
Bill Bailey's annual week-long event in Florida is two weeks away as I write this. Then, before you know it, there will be a host of other multi-day events. It seems as though the Spring and Summer are loaded down with them each year. There's the Singing In The Sun, Singfest in Tulsa, Waldo, the Singing In The Smokies, the Hominy Valley Sing, Blue Springs Valley, Mark Bishop Homecoming, Greenes' Gospel Singing Jubilee, Seminole and many more. Later in the year, you'll even find some multi-day events in Gatlinburg as the calendar is turned to the last page.
But what about the week between Christmas and New Year's? Sure, there are some good one-night events on the agenda, but multi-night events seem to be non-existent. I know that's a busy week for a lot of people, but I have to wonder what the response would be to a mult-day event, perhaps a two-nighter, held that holiday week.
What about you? Would you be open to attending such event? I realize a lot depends on the talent and location, but just in general theory, would a multi-day event - held the week between Christmas and New Year's - appeal to you?
Drop me an e-mail and let me know. And while you're at it, include something that you'd like to see in that event. Maybe a matinee with a legendary artist or maybe just a Christian seminar in general.
I'm looking forward to your responses.
Have a blessed day.
