NQC: Night Four (#417)
Friday, September 12, 2008
Here we are on Thursday, day four of the largest event in Southern Gospel music - the National Quartet Convention. Excitement seemed evident in the air as today marked the return of the Gaither Vocal Band, Ernie Haase & Signature Sound as well as the Isaacs to the National Quartet Convention.
Don't miss the feature pictorials posted each day from the convention featuring shots from the stage as well as throughout the exhibit hall. Find the links on the
Singing News home page for each day.

After meeting and greeting fans and friends for several hours, Bill Gaither stopped by the Singing News booth for a quick picture with me and my wife Christina.

Fellow Georgian Randall Franks - accomplished fiddler and regular from the former television series "In The Heat Of The Night."

Guy Penrod and Archie Watkins.

Rickey Gooch is ready to blow out the candles on a cake...somewhere.

Derrell Stewart still has the red socks.

We rounded the corner, and who did we run into but Elaine Wilburn.

Michael Booth stopped by to talk to Greg & Charlotte Ritchie.

We stopped by the Kingdom Heirs booth to present them with their plaque for the recent No. 1 song. Billy Hodges was the only one in the booth so he became the proud recipient of the plaque...but it didn't last long. Be sure to look at the next two pictures.

Before we knew it Jeff, Steve and Kreis rounded the corner and stole the show from Billy. But wait just one more moment...

From afar came Arthur, so we took yet another picture. We never did see Dennis or Andy.
Thanks for visiting with us...we'll try to post more pictures again tomorrow.
