NQC: Night Five (#418)
Saturday, September 13, 2008
Well folks, it's Friday and only one more day of the 2008 National Quartet Convention. Many people put forth effort to ensure the success of the convention and I'll touch more on that tomorrow. But for today, I've got a wide variety of pictures to share with you from today's activities.
Be sure not to miss the feature pictorials posted each day from the convention featuring shots from the stage as well as throughout the exhibit hall. It seems that each day we post more pictures than the day before.
Find the links on the
Singing News home page for each day.

From high upon an 8 foot ladder, here is a shot of the crowded floor of the exhibit hall.

Did you know that Santa showed up for the National Quartet Convention? Looks like a few folks were either putting in early wishes or seeing which list they were on at this point.

Here we are up on the ladder once again to show you just how crowded the food court was. Right beside us is the platform where Solid Gospel broadcasts their roundtable discussions each night.

Stewart Varnado (Dixie Echoes) in profile. We think that this might be his best side.

Greg Ritchie has his hands full with Jayna. It's suppertime.

Doug Anderson (EH&SS) realized before the others that a cameraman was at work. He's saying "Howdy" to all ya'll folks.

Here is a shot from inside Freedom Hall, barely. If you stepped back any you would find yourself in the parking lot. Friday night saw very few empty seats.

Sheri Easter and Karen Peck Gooch. The state of Georgia is represented well.

Michael Booth seemed excited today. We learned that the rest of the family had joined him in Louisville. We're glad that Vicki, Christian, Jonathan and Austin had a safe journey. They have enough to deal with putting up with Michael.

Eric (Dove Brothers) found the Papa Johns stand in the food court.
I told you that I had a wide variety of pictures for today. Don't forget to visit our regular feature of the day to see even more pictures from the 2008 National Quartet Convention. And don't forget to check out the website as we will be updating it live, starting at 6 p.m., with each winner that is announced tomorrow at the Singing News Fan Awards.
