The National Quartet Convention is upon us and as you read this, I'm scurrying around, trying to get the last minute things together before I head to Louisville.

First, we've got more than enough great questions for our upcoming feature on Lauren Talley. At this very moment, she's trying to make the decisions on which questions will make the final cut and before long, I will be contacting the authors of those questions. Be looking for the November issue of Singing News to see YOUR work.

Next week while we're at the NQC, Jerry Kirksey and I hope to bring you some photo coverage activity of the event. Look for postings throughout the week on Danny's Diary - and yes, maybe even Jerry's Journal.

If you happen to be at the NQC, please drop by the Singing News booth at some point. I plan to be there at the booth a great deal each night and I'd love to chat with you - put the faces with the names, you know? Also, you'll have an opportunity to meet some of the Singing News staff there.

In the meantime, I've got to go fill out a loan application to get all my clothes (that I'm taking to Louisville) from the cleaners. If I don't pass out from sticker shock, I'll see you there!
