Looking Ahead (#336)
Monday, December 11, 2006
In just a few days, the year 2007 will begin and we'll quickly leave behind the events that shaped 2006. And while some people sometimes want to dwell on the past (and there's really nothing wrong with that at times), sometimes it is much more exciting to look to the future.
At Singing News, we're doing just that. We're excited about what's shaping up for Singing News next year. For me, personally, it means the addition of several writers to the magazine's team. When you receive the January issue, you'll learn about the first of those new writers - one who'll be taking over the reins of an existing feature, and another who'll debut his first article in the February issue.
But more than that, you'll meet some new feature writers. As we go along in 2007, you'll be seeing features from a vast array of writers - many of whom you may already know.
Does this mean we're having writer turnover? Nope - all we're doing is expanding. Those who have been writing for Singing News will continue to do so, though some may offer a different focus than previously noted.

The first anniversary of Salem Communications' ownership of Singing News is quickly approaching and on many occasions, I have been asked "How are things going since the switch-over?" While there are a few things that are still being tweaked, the answer to that question is an overwhelming "Great!" And what does that mean to you?
It means we're just getting started; and if you liked what we did in 2006, I think you're going to love what you'll see in 2007.
