FanFoto #2 (#344)

Tuesday, February 13, 2007

I really didn't intend to post another FanFoto entry quite this soon. But since I'm scurrying between two week-long trips and trying to get a magazine out the door, I've not come up with something meaningful to write about. (I'm sure I could ramble on nothing for several pages, but what's the point?) So ...

FanFoto #2 arrives today.

"This is a picture of me with my favorite group, Mercy's Mark, taken at a concert at The Fellowship in Albertville, Alabama. When I go to a concert, I want to be blessed and encouraged, and I want to hear some really good gospel music. I get those things and more at every MM concert. All of these special young men believe what they sing and they sing it so well. It's obvious at every concert that Garry, Josh, Brent, and Christian really care about their audiences and want to give their best as their witness of the love and mercy of God." - Diana Brantley

"You have probably been overloaded with fans and their favorite artist photos. I wanted to at least send this one in, as the Pfeifers are indeed a very special group. I first heard them several years ago, and over these years, I have been blessed in getting to know them as not just one of my favorite groups, but as friends. Many of their songs have been such an encouragement, and they have also been precious prayer warriors on behalf of myself and my family. I know that their goal is to give all the credit, praise, and glory to the Lord in all they do, on and off stage. So, just in case, this picture is posted anywhere...thank you John, Candy, and Mary for all you do to bring the message of the Lord Jesus Christ, in music and song!" - Joyann Gosa

"I know this photo is not the best (the camera wasn't working properly), but I'll always cherish this. This was taken during the Cathedrals' Farewell Tour when they visited the Roswell Street Baptist Church near Atlanta. Man, I miss Glen and George." - Kenny Herron

Here is one of the most unusual photos I've received during FanFoto. This is Woody Wright and "friend" during a trip to Roatan, Honduras. Is this a version of "having the monkey on your back?" Actually, Woody did have a name for his buddy, but under the threat of bodily harm, I promised I wouldn't share it.

If you've got a favorite photo of a Gospel artist you'd like to share with the readers of Danny's Diary, please e-mail them to danny.jones@singingnews.com. I'll be checking the in-box for your mail.
