Greetings!
Today, I wanted to let you know about a couple of things happening in the world of Singing News.
In just a few months, we'll introduce a book series entitled "Singing News Presents Praise Reports - Inspiring Real Life Stories of How God Answers Prayer." As the title implies, this book will spotlight the wondrous things God has done in the lives of people across the country. But instead of solely relying on the writings of professional inspirational leaders, we want to hear from people just like you. After all, nothing can be better than a story straight from the heart.
You may be asking," What do I write?" God's goodness knows no boundaries, so however God has blessed you by answering your prayer, feel free to share your story. Regardless of the topic, your words of praise may be just what someone else needs to hear.
In the July magazine that's on the way to you right now, you'll find more information about participating in this book series. Please note the deadline for submissions - we'd hate for someone to miss a blessing because your praise report arrived too late for inclusion.
Be looking for "Singing News Presents Praise Reports" on Amazon.com or in your favorite Christian bookstore by Sept. 15. We' ll also keep you up to date on the book's availability in future issues.
Speaking of new books, I should also point out that Singing News has also released the "For the Love of Cooking" desserts cookbook. This cookbook, compiled by Singing News columnist Carolyn Kirksey, features dessert recipes that cross several generations. And, according to her husband, Jerry, every dessert in this book is a real winner - he should know, he's tried them all!
You can pick up a copy of this new cookbook at most concerts where Singing News has a subscription table, or you can order it direct from our offices. Complete ordering information is also in the July Singing News.
As you can see, things have been busy at Singing News. A monthly magazine, a Web site, two books - and several other projects are in the works that we'll be telling you about soon. It never slows down.
Just don't look for a Jerry Kirksey diet book anytime soon.
Sorry, Jerry! Carolyn made me say it!
