Here are more photos from the 2006 National Quartet Conventon in Louisville, Kentucky...

The day started off on a rainy note as thundershows continued to pass through Northern Kentucky. It seems as though it's been raining non-stop since Sunday night. The forecast, however, looks better as we head into Wednesday.

Les Beasley of the Florida Boys presented Jerry Kirksey with a special Lifetime Achievement Award on behalf of the Southern Gospel Music Guild. Jerry's been with Singing News for almost 40 years - and Les has watched Jerry's entire Southern Gospel career from Jerry's first days of working in the Florida Boys' office with Les and J.G. Whitfield.

Speaking of Jerry, here he is (R) with the three Joneses...me, Leesa and Garry Jones (Mercy's Mark Quartet). No, we're not starting a new family group. As far as we know, Garry and I are completely unrelated. I wonder what he means when he says, "thank goodness?"

All they need is a tenor and they're on their way...(L-R) Jeff Chapman (Kingdom Heirs bass), Arthur Rice (Kingdom Heirs lead), Melton Campbell (Inspirations baritone) and Matt Diber (Inspirations lead).

Steve Ladd and Daniel Riley during their time to man the Gold City booth at NQC.

Martin Cook and one tired grandson ... but I think that Martin was on the verge of going to sleep, too!

More photos will be posted Wednesday morning!
