Bill Hefner Passes Away (UPDATED)

Albertville, AL - Singing News has learned that Bill Hefner, former member of the Harvesters Quartet and retired North Carolina State Congressman, has passed away. He was 79 years old.
Jim Hefner, SGPA President and Brother to Bill issued this statement: "We truly appreciate your prayers during this very difficult time. Losing our brother has really been a shock to our family. Please remember his wife Nancy, their children and the entire Hefner Family as we plan for the next few days."
Visitation will be on Friday, September 4, at the Albertville Memorial Funeral Home in Albertville, Ala., from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. (CST) The funeral will be held on Saturday, September 5, at 2:00 p.m. (CST) at the Albertville Memorial Chapel located on Highway 431 in Albertville, Alabama. Burial will be at Happy Hill Cemetery in Sardis, Alabama.
