Singing News has learned that
Lamar Sego, the last remaining original brother of
The Sego Brothers & Naomi, passed away this afternoon (Saturday, May 5, 2012) after several years of declining heath. He was 81 years old. He was the brother-in-law of Southern Gospel music legend, Naomi Sego.
After traveling many years with
The Sego Brothers & Naomi, Lamar formed his owned family group,
The Lamar Sego Family. His family traveled extensively during the 1970s, even garnering a Dove Award.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time.
