Florida Boys To Perform For Tennessee's First Lady Series

NASHVILLE - November's First Lady Series will present a variety
of musical styles in an event entitled "Country, Folk, Gospel and Soul: The
Sweet Sounds of Tennessee." The series will consist of a panel discussion
moderated by Robert Oermann who is a respected music critic, author and
historian. The panel will consist of representatives from each of the four
music genres. Charlie Waller, Florida Boys manager and Executive Director of
the Southern Gospel Music Association, has been invited by the First Lady as a
member of the panel. The program will conclude with a ‘mini-concert' featuring
artists representing each category at which time the Florida Boys will perform.
The First Lady Series is a monthly event hosted by Tennessee's First Lady
Andrea Conte in Conservation Hall.
The event on Tuesday, November
16, is open to the public at no charge; however, seating is limited and
reservations are required. Please call (615) 741-7846 - A reception will
precede the event at 5 p.m., and the program will begin promptly at 5:45 p.m.
The program will be closed by the Fairfield Four.
