thank you maryvilleman!! It takes humility and boldness to admit ones mistakes especially publicly.Thats awesome.Thank you for the support and kind words. We should all forgive the earlier posts. If we can respond with the intention of accountability, which is scriptural, but then not forgive when repentance is shown, then that is a shame.

I am a man and will admit my fault. I AM SORRY! I didn't mean to ruffle so many feathers. Thuth is, I am a Gold City fan. I have been since the days of Ivan parker, Mike Lefevre, Brian Free, and Garry Jones. It just seems like there is more turnover in GC than with the normal group recently. I hope Gold City touches more lives now than they ever had before, honestly!! I have never met them personally and probably never will, so I will not judge them personally. I appreciate Adam setting me straight on a few misconceptions that I might have had, although I wish he's go back on the road and be the best bass guitarist in SGM...again. Again, I am sorry to have upset so many people and I would advise anyone to go see GC in concert if they are anywhere around your area. THESE GUYS NEED SUPPORT. They have to feed their families just like everyone else. In this economy, the price to fill up the bus alone is more than most of us make in a week's time. Support these guys. They take huge amounts of time away from their families to promote Christianity and for that, I am sorry again for upsetting some of you. God Bless you all and God Bless GC!

What kind of people is writing negative things about nothing they know absolutely nothing about? AND, are these people suppose to be Christians? How dare anyone have the nerve to write negative things about any group. Excuse me, my Bible tells me to love not to critize. I don't think Jesus would approve of some of these notes people have the nerve to write. More especially since they do not have a clue. Gold City was super In Silsbee Texas on 8/08/09. I hope Jesus Christ doesn't let me have a home in Heaven next to some of these people who profess being a Christian and speak negative words regarding a group such as Gold City. HOW DARE THEM. God Bless each of the fellow that are carrying on. God will surely send them exactly who they need to continue their calling. Shame on those of you who do not have enough compassion to let things be carried on by Danny and whoever runs Gold City. LEAVE WELL ENOUGH ALONG.....
God is in control of this situation. We feel sad to loose such talent, but know better than to voice an opinion. We are praying for the entire team of Gold City and wish them the very best in the months to come.

We have Gold City scheduled for a concert at our church next weekend. It's been scheduled for months now and we're expecting a huge crowd. Sure would be great if Tim is on the bus to sing the bass part. He's always been my favorite bass singer. Danny...we're praying for ya'll.

The negative comments never cease to amaze me! I have been a Gold City fan since April 1982, and believe me, I have seen lots of changes over the years. To say I was suprised by some of the comments, especially about members being fired, is an understatement. I worked side by side with Jay Parrack as our minister of music for 4 years and believe me, he is still hitting the "sky" notes 5 years after leaving Gold City. Jay chose to leave...he certainly wasn't fired, and I don't believe any of the other guys were either. I think Danny's a great guy and GOD will lead the right people to Gold City. It's our Christian responsibilty to pray for them...not criticize!

AMEN Charliemc91!!! This is what the forums should be about...uplifting and encouragement.

timothy111157, that is so true. Danny Riley is a prince of a fellow. He is the same everytime I see him. May God richly bless this group!

I personally think it is insane that all the negative coments are being made. Instead of us sittin on here talkin bad about these ppl we need to be prayin for these guys. I dont know why Josh and Aaron left but instead of fussing why or whose at fault for it. lets get down on our knees and pray for these guys. Gold City needs our prayers to lift them up they dont need discouraging. So lets do what WE are supposed to do AND LIFT THEM UP IN PRAYER! thanks.

I first promoted GC 19 years ago and have had the privilege to have worked with them numerous times since. Tim told me years ago that to him the only reason you leave your family at home 200+ days per year is because God has led you to do at as a calling. I heard Danny say exactly the same thing last night here in Peoria, IL on their first night of this transition time. This is not like sports teams trading players, etc. It is not a competition. Believe me, the testimony of a group is the first priority. I have worked with numerous groups and individuals and groups over the years, and have found none finer than those of Gold City. Danny is genuine, and has had the model and upbringing of his parents. Gold City has had some great members over the years, and most are still active in full-time ministry. I will have Brian Free and Assurance here in E.Peoria on August 30, and working with him over the years also rekindles fond memories.
Gold City has always had a great sound, and even last night they were one of the best "trios" you could hear. Chris is going to light up the NQC. What a warm and likeable person he is? AND, he has the voice. Gold City has always had the ability to regroup and find just the right person God would have for them. Though I sure would have loved to have heard Aaron last night, I realize there are things I cannot control. Pray for Gold City and see what the next chapter brings them. YES, God has it all "Under Control". LOVE YOU ALL. Blessings to my friend Tim.
Blessings to all. Tim in Illinois

It always amazes me when a group is going thru changes, all the nasties seem to swarm in. As Aaron's adoptive Mama, I have some truthful answers to some of the questions. Steve has left the group to start a solo career. Josh came off the road to go to college and graduate in 2011. And I apologist to those of you who want to know all the details, but I am not at liberty to discuss why Aaron has also departed GC. I love Daniel and respect him and I know this is hard on any group. But with God's guidance, good things will be happening with the group. I would hope most will be praying for Gold City and also the ones who are no longer with them.
blessings and love to you Daniel
Love, Mama
