Tuesday, September 06, 2005
The Old Time Gospel Hour Quartet announces that Jerry Pilgrim has been selected to fill the bass position for the quartet.╩ Jerry grew up in Oklahoma, and has been singing gospel music for over 30 years with several local and national groups.╩ Most recently, Jerry toured with The Homesteaders Quartet based in Oklahoma.╩
As a child, Jerry was an avid fan of The Gospel Singing Jubilee, and consequently Billy Todd and George Younce had significant influence on his style.╩ Jerry was saved at the age of 17, and╩has always felt the calling of the Lord to minister in music.
╩ Jerry states "I consider it a great honor to be part of The Old Time Gospel Hour Quartet and to be associated with Dr. Jerry Falwell and the ministries of Thomas Road Baptist Church."╩
Jerry and his wife Cindy will be moving to the Lynchburg area in the near future.
Wyatt Wilson and Jeff Stanley╩report╩"We are so excited to have Jerry on board with our quartet.╩ Jerry has such a great voice, as well as being a great Christian man with a heart for ministry.╩ We are looking forward to╩him and his wife moving to Lynchburg and being part of our team.╩ We will be making the transition with our two new singers Jerry and Tony at the National Quartet Convention next week.╩ We look forward to seeing all of you there." ╩
