1 Cup shortening1 Cup brown sugar (firmly packed)1/2 Cup granulated sugar2 eggs2 teaspoons vanilla2 1/4 Cups sifted all-purpose flour1 teaspoon baking soda1 teaspoon salt1/1/2 Cups M & M╒s (Plain Chocolate)(3/4 pound pkg)
Cream shortening, sugars, eggs, and vanilla thoroughly. Sift together flour, soda, and salt. Add dry ingredients gradually to creamed mixture. Mix well. Stir in 1/2 cup M & M╒s. Reserve remaing candies for decorating. Drop by teaspoon on ungreased baking
