Brownstone Front Cake


Ingredients

1/2 Cup butter

1 1/2 Cups sugar

2 eggs, well beaten

3/4 Cup milk

2 Cups flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 squares baking chocolate

1/2 Cup brown sugar

3 Tablespoons milk

Currant jelly

Confectionerâ•’s sugar

Instructions

Cream butter and sugar well. Add eggs, vanilla, and dry ingredients and mix well. Put half the mixtur in a buttered, floured 8-inch cake pan. Melt together chocolate, sugar, and milk. Add to remaining half of cake mixture and put in another buttered, flou
