1 Cup Crisco6 egg yolks1/4 teaspoon soda3 Cups flour6 egg whites3 Cups sugar1 1/2 teaspoon lemon flavoring1/4 teaspoon salt1 Cup buttermilk
Cream Crisco and sugar in mixer bowl. Add egg yolks and flavoring and beat until light and fluffy. Mix in soda, salt, and flour, alternating with buttermilk. Beat egg whties until stiff BUT NOT DRY. Fold into mixture. Bake for 1 1/2 hours in tube pan at 3
