Chocolate Pecan Ice Box Cake


Ingredients

1/2 Cup butter (1 stick)

1 Cup confectionersâ•’ sugar (sifted)

2 whole eggs

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

1/4 teaspoon salt

Second Layer:

1/2 pint cream

1 teaspoon vanilla or 1/2 teaspoon almond extract

1 teaspoon powdered sugar

1 Cup chopped pecans

Instructions

Cream butter, add sugar, cream thoroughly. Add 1 whole egg, beat well again, add the second egg. Beat thoroughly. Add 1/2 teaspoon vanilla and 1/4 teaspoon salt.

Line a cake pan or pie pan with finely rolled chocolate cookie crumbs (about 1/2 inch deep),
