Filling: Cook dates, sugar and water for 10 minutes, add nuts when cool. Cream brown sugar and Crisco. Add beaten eggs, vanilla, soda, salt, cream of tartar and flour. Divide dough in 3 parts. Roll to 1/4 inch thickness and spread with date filling. Roll
