1/2 Cup butter1/2 Cup brown sugar1 Cup white sugar2 well beaten eggs1 teaspoon vanilla1 teaspoon soda1/2 Cup hot water3 squares (1 oz) unsweetened chocolate (melted)2 Cups cake flour1/4 teaspoon salt2/3 Cup sour milk
Thoroughly cream sugar and butter; add eggs and vanilla. Beat until fluffy. Melt chocolate in hot water over low heat; blend thoroughly and cool slightly. Gradually add to creamed mixture.
Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk, after each addit
