1 Cup Crisco (or butter)2 Cups sugar. Cream wellAdd 5 eggs, one at atime, beating well after each addition2 Cups sifted flour1 Cup buttermilk1 can grated coconut1 teaspoon coconut extract1 teaspoon salt1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
Put in greased tube pan and bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.
Glaze f or Coconut Pound Cake
1/2 Cup sugar
1/4 Cup water
1/2 teaspoon coconut extract
Bring above ingredients to a boil and cook exactly 1 minute. Pout over cake while hot
