Coconut Pound Cake


Ingredients

1 Cup Crisco (or butter)

2 Cups sugar. Cream well

Add 5 eggs, one at atime, beating well after each addition

2 Cups sifted flour

1 Cup buttermilk

1 can grated coconut

1 teaspoon coconut extract

1 teaspoon salt

1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

Put in greased tube pan and bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.

Glaze f or Coconut Pound Cake

1/2 Cup sugar

1/4 Cup water

1/2 teaspoon coconut extract

Bring above ingredients to a boil and cook exactly 1 minute. Pout over cake while hot
