Blackberry Jam Cake


Ingredients

1 Cup butter

1 Cup sugar

1 Cup blackberry jam

1 Cup strawberry jam

1 Cup fig preserves

5 egg yolks, well beaten

5 egg whites, beaten stiff

3 Cups all purpose flour

1 Cup buttermilk

1 Tablespoon soda

1 Tablespoon cinnamon

1 Tablespoon allspice

1 Cup choppe

Instructions

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add jam, and preserves and mix well. Add beaten egg yolks and mix well. Add flour to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk in which soda has been dissolved. Stir in spice and nuts. Fold in stiffly beate
