Bread Pudding


Ingredients

1 quart milk

2 Cups bread cubes

3 eggs

1/2 Cup sugar

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon vanilla

3 Tablespoons butter

Lemon Sauce:

1 Cup sugar

2 Tablespoons cornstarch

2 Cups boiling water

4 Tablespoons butter

3 Tablespoons lemon juice

1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

Scald milk and pur it over bread which has been cut into 1/2 inch cubes. Let stand 10 minutes. Beat eggs slightly. Add sugar, salt and vanilla to beaten eggs. Pour into a buttered baking dish and add milk and bread cubes. Add melted butter and stir to mix
