Christmas Cake


Ingredients

2 lbs raisins

1 lb citron

2 1/2 lbs currants

3/4 lb flour, regular

1 teaspoon baking powder

9 eggs

1 1/2 lbs sugar

1 lb butter

1 wine glass sherry

1 wine glass whiskey

1 teaspoon mixed spices

Instructions

Chop raisins, citron, currants. Sift flour with baking powder into fruits and mix. Separate eggs, cream yolks, butter and sugar. Add stiffly beaten egg whites and fruit mixture. Mix and knead with hands. Stir in liquid and spices. Divide into 2 deep 10 in
