1 Cup sugar1 Cup flour1 Cup pie cherries and juice1 Tablespoon melted butter1 Cup chopped nuts1 teaspoon soda1/2 teaspoon salt1 egg
Mix sugar, flour and salt. Add beaten egg and cherry juice. Mix well, then add melted butter and soda, dissolved in 1 tablespoon water. Fold in cherries and nuts. Pour in greased saucepan and bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.
