Cherry Up-Side Cake


Ingredients

2/3 Cups sugar

2 1/2 Tablespoons cornstarch

1 No 12 can (2 1/2 Cups sour red cherries, drained)

1/3 Cup shortening

1/2 Cup sugar

1/2 Cup All-Bran

1 egg

1 teaspoon grated orange rind

1 3/4 Cups flour

1/2 teaspoons salt

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/4 teaspoo

Instructions

Mix sugar and cornstarch; add cherry syrup; cook clear. Add cherries; pour into greased 8 inch pan. Cream shortening and sugar; add egg and beat. Add Bran and orange rind. Alternately add sifted ingredients and liquids. Pour into pan. Bake in 375 degee ov
